Interested in a rather flat description of this new gem we found? Here you go: Villa Hera lies in the very center of the historical core of Hvar Town. Just 20 meters from the main waterfront or riva, the sea and the promenade, where yachts and boats from all over the world dock in the summer. The magnificent Baroque stone balcony offers breathtaking views to the waterfront, the boats in the harbor, Fortica Fortress, as well as Pakleni otoci, a group of islands which contribute to Hvar's special atmosphere.

The villa was built in 1612, during the Baroque period, a time of Venetian influence in the entire Adriatic area. Today, it is preserved by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments. For a long time it was owned by the Marchi family, one of the oldest Italian families in Hvar. The villa, along with the Gothic house and garden was fully renovated in 2009, according to the instructions of the Institute.

Interested in what we think and feel about it ? This is truly a one of a kind in Croatia. Trust us when we say that there aren't many luxury villas of this standard yet. A shame because Croatia has been flourishing in the last years and the international elite meet in the archipelago every year. Due to the lack of luxury villas they do so on yachts.

Now there is a place to stay which doesn't float and swing. A villa which will be booked up in no time. Of course we will assist you with boat charters for your daytime activities but do not oversee the fact that Hvar town has a vibrant night life and amazing restaurants. Of course we can staff the villa with a skilled chef and a butler. Welcome or dobro došli - as they say in Croatia !
